How do I Shrink a Shirt?
I recently got a shirt from school, but its a Large and I’m a Medium, i really need to to shrink quite a bit. i already washed it in Hot water twice and it only shrunk a little. any ways to shrink it?
if this is relevant the shirt is a Gildan Ultra Cotton Size: L
It might be “preshrunk a technique used to help prevent a shirt from shrinking a second time.Here are some steps.
1.Wash the T-shirt in very hot water.
◦Add baking soda to the water to preserve any writing or illustrations. Don’t add baking soda if there are no illustrations or lettering.
2.Iron the shirt with a hot iron while they are extremely damp.
◦Push the iron from the outer edges of the garment toward the inside so that the garment is not inadvertently stretched as you iron.
3.Dry the shirt in a tumble dryer set to maximum heat. This is when the majority of the shrinking will take place. Leave the shirt in the dryer for a few minutes after the dryer stops.
◦If it is still too big put it in the dryer again at a very hot temperature.
